FLOWER SEASON is COMING

Over the past few weeks, Paternoster, like the rest of the Western Cape has had some really significant rainfall. Which is wonderful because it means we will have a very beautiful and bumper FLOWER SEASON. Soon we will start to see the prettiest white rain daises appear through the fields and in-between the houses; here we call it ‘West Coast Snow’.

Paternoster makes an ideal base or stop over on your Flower Safari/Road-trip up the West Coast and on to Namaqualand. The nearby towns of Hopefield, Saldanha, Jacobsbaai and Langebaan, which includes the West Coast National Park all have an abundance of flowers in various open areas and are well worth exploring. Last year in Jacobsbaai there was this unexpectedly stunning sight of a field of wild red poppies.

* Extending Low Season Rates until end AUGUST ’21 *

We have extended our Low Season rates to the END OF AUGUST. That is at least half of what is traditionally Flower Season. A Road trip is also a good idea stopping in 2 to 3 little villages along the Flower Route. See Map below for prime spots to consider in your planning.

A good idea is to sign up to receive the Weskus/West Coast Tourism weekly flower report via the and you can call the Flower Line on 079 741 0113 (Open from 19 July) to find out where to view the best flowers. You can also keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.

We hope to see you in Spring to enjoy the beauty of West Coast Flower Season.
